T.V. Guide June 15-21 1974 - Dear Mickey Rooney wherever you are

This week we find out a little more about Ron Howard's past. We also find out he does not like comparing Happy Days to American Graffiti.

  1. This brings back memories. I bought this issue of TV Guide in the stores when I was...young. I had the cover on my wall for many years. It was one of the few Graffiti related things I could find as a young kid. Back in the day, there wasn't much out there to display our love and memories for the film. A pic here, a pic there, but that was it. Eventually after moving several times and re-posting the cover it became too ratty to display and I threw it away. Any whoooo... I was and am so thrilled to find here. Thank you-you da man!

  2. Trivia: The girl on the cover with Ron Howard, Kathy O'Dare was in the 1974 pilot episode of Happy Days. She played Ritchie's date. I still remember the advertisements for it on TV. She had a "reputation" and when Potsie learned she had invited Ritchie to help her babysit he exclaimed, "Baby sitting with Mary Lou Milligan, man oh man, you've got it made in the shade!" That line will be stuck in my mind forever.
